Local Station Board

 

The next regular meeting of the WPFW Local Station Board will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, 6:30 PM.  You are invited to make your voice heard during the Community Comment portion of the meeting which begins at a "Time Certain" of 7:30 pm, regardless of where we are in the agenda.

* LSB - Report out from Closed Session (Posted 11/14/14)

 

During its regular monthly meeting on November 12, 2014, the WPFW Local Station Board adjourned to closed session to continue its review of a proposed lease for new studio space, which it had begun on November 6th, and to discuss the personnel line item in the proposed FY2015 budget. 

 

After discussion, the LSB voted (9-yes, 2-no, 2-abstention) to approve the proposed FY2015 budget, subject to adjustments to be made by the CFO and Local Finance Chair, with the understanding that the budget can be revisited again at a later time.

 

The LSB also voted to recommend that the Pacifica National Board approve the proposed lease of space in 1990 K Street, NW. This motion was approved by roll call vote: 11-yes (Lona Alias, Jim Brown, Michael Byfield, Vanessa Dixon-Briggs, Marian Douglas-Ungaro, Jane Gatewood, Tony Norman, Eric Ramey, Peter Tucker, Gloria Turner and Jane Zara); 1-no (Benito Diaz); and 1-abstention (Olayimika Cole).

 

 

* The WPFW Local Station Board met in closed session on November 6, 2014 to review a proposed lease for new studio space and to discuss the personnel line item in the proposed FY2015 budget. The treasurer was not present to assist with budget questions and this item was not addressed. The board began its review of the lease document and agreed to continue its review in closed session at the regular November 12, 2014 meeting.
