LSB Committees

With the exception of the MAS (Management Assessment and Search) Committee, all LSB Committees are open to participation of those who are interested in helping with the work of the committee.

OUTREACH & DEVELOPMENT - Programmers, staff, volunteers, Community Advisory Board members, and all LSB members are welcome (and encouraged) to participate in the work of this Committee.

The Committee is responsible for coordinating several annual fundraising events, such as the U Street Jam; and community outreach events, such as Adams Morgan Day and the Bluebird Festival. The Committee welcomes new fundraising and outreach ideas.

PROGRAMMING - Responsibilities include working with station management to ensure that station programming fulfills purposes of the Foundation and is responsive to the diverse needs of the listeners (demographic) and communities (geographic) served by the station; and that  station policies and procedures for making programming decisions and for program evaluation are working in a fair, collaborative and respectful manner to provide quality programming. 

FINANCE - Works with station management to prepare annual budget for LSB/PNB approval;  Monitors actual income/expenses vs. budget on monthly basis; and prepares quarterly reports to the LSB and Foundation's Board of Directors (through National Finance committee)
